🍞 WE’RE BACK, BABY! 🍞

It’s been a minute since we’ve had a bread order and pick-up at the Dillicious Bakes residence! Between running (and recovering from) my marathon this month and taking a family trip over MEA break, the ovens have been a little quieter than usual. 🏃🏼‍♀️✈️

But I’m SO excited to get back to regularly scheduled programming and doing what I love most… BAKING! 🤎

📅 This week’s order & pick-up details:

* Orders due: Wednesday, October 21 at 9 AM
* Pick-up: Friday, October 23 from 3–6 PM
* Location: The Dillicious Bakes shop

🎃 BONUS! We have a special guest this week! 🎃

My friend Michelle from VanDyke Produce & Pumpkins will be joining us during pick-up! I’ll share her order form later this week, so you can stock up on her garden vegetables and canned goods while grabbing your fresh sourdough. 🥕🥫

Fresh bread AND local goodies all in one stop? How convenient is that?! 🙌🏼

Grab some bulk tomatoes from VanDyke Produce & Pumpkins!

Think you’ve missed the window to can tomatoes this fall? You haven’t! I’ve still got TONS of Roma tomatoes left! They’re what I like to use for everything because they’re not full of seeds and juice, lots of ‘meat’, which makes them perfect for canning. Let me know if you’re interested in bulk tomatoes!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for an amazing Farmer’s Market season! ❤️

It’s truly such a joy to come together with other small businesses each week and serve the Tyler community. I’m so grateful for every order, conversation, and familiar face!

As we move into fall, I’ll be taking orders and offering pickups at my shop on posted dates. If you haven’t made it out to my place yet, I’m just ½ mile south of Tyler, right past the New Holland dealership.

My family and I are excited to welcome you! My kids are especially eager to help carry your order out to your car. You can duck in and out with your bread and treats OR stay awhile and have an extended conversation about octopuses, Minecraft, or whatever else Hayes is currently obsessed with. 🤣

🥖🍲 SOUP SEASON HAS ENTERED THE CHAT. 🍲🥖

I thought I’d help you decide what to do with your sourdough this week. The weather is cloudy and rainy the next few days so let’s load up on some coziness!

Here are some soup + bread pairings for this week’s menu:

🥖 Plain Sourdough — $10
Perfect with:
• Chicken noodle soup
• Tomato basil
• Beef vegetable

🥖 Everything Bagel Cheddar — $12
Perfect with:
• Loaded baked potato
• Broccoli cheddar
• French onion

🥖 Cheddar & Chive — $12
Perfect with:
• Creamy chicken & wild rice
• Corn Chowder
• Chili

MINI LOAVES

🥓 Bacon Cheddar → chili, potato soup, or creamy corn chowder
🍅 Sun-Dried Tomato → tomato basil, minestrone, or Italian sausage soup

Basically, if you have soup, you need bread. This is science. I don’t make the rules, I just make the bread.

So you know those cute animal mascots Chat GPT makes for you. Well, mine is the Chaos Badger and I feel like I should be offended but also it’s probably pretty accurate.

Two weeks ago, didn’t make the market because I was in peak week for marathon training and my poor feet cannot handle running 40+ miles and baking.

Last week I missed the market because I was busy canning 200 POUNDS OF TOMATOES. Because apparently I needed something to keep me busy. 🤪🍅

Anyway, the Chaos Badger and I are BACK this week and ready to bake but announcing it at the last minute because I wasn’t sure what life was going to throw at me this week.🦡🥖☕️

That’s a wrap on baking for the week!

I’ll be taking next week off from baking because I have to run 44 MILES in my peak week and, quite frankly, my feet can’t handle all the baking steps on top of that. 😂👟
