I decided this year to return to the That Takes the Cake Competition. Despite the ups and downs and obstacles of this year I’m so glad I pushed through and made it to Round Rock this year. It was once again such a rewarding experience! Placing again was the cherry on top, I won 1st place in the Intermediate Division for small bite cupcakes with my “fairy garden” theme 😊 sometimes one door closes and another opens I found my love for competing, pushing myself to become a better cake artist and teaching others cake decorating.

With the start of a new year I’ve prayerfully reflected, and feel its right to close my cake business at this time. There are many factors in this decision including the cost of rising inflation, and personal reasons, but mainly-I know I need to shift my focus to other priorities and seek new opportunities this year. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my small business and passion! Your encouragement has kept me moving forward which I will continue doing! Though it’s bittersweet I know I’m on to even sweeter days.
