My name is Amanda, and baking has always been part of who I am. I grew up in the kitchen with my family and fell in love with cake decorating in college. After 20 years as an art teacher, I followed my heart back to baking.

Gunnar is my son and he happens to have Down syndrome. He brings so much joy to what we do. He has a special way of knowing when someone needs a hug (where our name came from!)—so don’t be surprised if you leave with one (and a smile)!

We WON’T be at the 45th Parallel market this weekend. Gunnar participated in the State Special Olympics Summer Games at UW-Whitewater for powerlifting! He earned himself some hardware!! 🩷 We will be back at the market June 14th.
