KW “Improvement” District. An insular (board includes a mother and her son, and uncle and his nephew) 10 person board making decisions about what our neighborhood looks like.
They collect money from the stores KW residents are more likely to shop at and funnel it to improving Whittier Square, all along neglecting most anything south of Second.
They ignore Open Records Act requests and one board member even screams at citizens for asking about them.
Maybe one KW resident on the board although the Tulsa Planning Office website says 20% of board members are residents (bad math or plain lies?) and absolutely zero members who live along the areas adjacent to the district.
