To me, January is the month everyone talks about their goals for growth in the new year.

My earliest memories about growth probably come from Grandma’s kitchen while watching her proof yeast.

What began as tiny, pin-head sized grains bubbled over in excess when given just a little sweetness (sugar) to taste & something warm (milk) to drink.

My growth lesson for 2026? Giving myself grace in small steps, then nourishing them with kindness & living water. The best part? Watching them spill over the sides at the perfect time.

Don’t be afraid or embarrassed if your first steps this year seem small or irrelevant. When we trust our tiny faith to a God of the impossible, our (measuring) cups will always overflow.
