Hello, all. I’ve received quite a few inquiries and figured it was time to share some news.
As many of you know, I went on maternity leave in November expecting our first baby. Unfortunately my maternity leave turned into bereavement leave when we unexpectedly lost our son in December just weeks before he was due.
The devastation of this loss is insurmountable and every single day is a challenge beyond words. As you can imagine, my life has changed very dramatically in a short period of time. Becoming a mom only to come home with no baby to a life that was fully prepared for him. To put it plainly, I am completely lost.
All of that to say…I don’t know when or if I’m going to get back to this. I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to be part of special days like birthdays, baby showers, holidays, etc. Hopefully that’s understandable. I’m thankful for the last…almost 5 years of baking cakes for you all. If the time comes that I’m ready to do it again, I’ll be sure to let you all know.
