Have you ever had a friend who pushes you to try new things? I’m forever grateful to Jolene for being interested in sourdough enough to have me ask a friend for starter. That friend, along with my mother in law, have been such a good support as I have perfected sourdough baking and continuing to keep my love of cookies going too :)

What is sourdough?

To be honest, I had no idea the science behind what sourdough is. It just seemed like some sort of witchcraft where you take 4 ingredients and suddenly make bouncy bread. Once I started baking more often, I looked into the science and even though I still don’t know all the answers, I love knowing that I am keeping a starter alive to keep creating for all of you. It really is just a practical Tamagotchi for all of us millennials!
