Update...I brought the new year in by throwing out my back, and slowly getting back to normal.
But now I'm ready to do some baking. Check out recent post for Valentine's Specials.

A little advice aside from the baking....
Listen to your body, it will let you know when you need to just slow down..This has been a rough few weeks and had I listened I could have prevented or at the very least made the healing time less. Ok preaching over

Happy New Year Everyone!

And since it's the first of a new year and we all make the resolutions to eat healthier, I'm going to start baking some healthier alternatives to all the sugary filled goodies. Oh, but I'll still be making those too, but choices are always good.

So I start with these Whole stoned ground wheat Apple Cinnamon muffins...
Hearty, healthy and full of apples, pecans and plenty of cinnamon spice...and no refined sugar. Sweetened with pure maple syrup.

If you want super sweet and like lots of sugar; you will miss it in these. But these are a great healthy alternative.

I've also made these delicious salted caramel turtle brownies...delicious and full of gooey goodness.
