TWO DAYS TO REOPEN! We reopen this Friday, August 14th with a new drink, sandwich, and pastry menu. This time last year, we were putting the finishing touches on our very comprehensive cafe reno. Who remembers this glow up from 2025? Swipe to see the before.

When we first moved into the Lebanon Street space in May of 2022, we had to work with what we had. The acquisition cleared us of any capital to renovate. We were so excited in 2025 when we finally felt the opportunity to do an overhaul. It has paid off in every way.

I like this job, but it's not for the weak, literally. Lift weights, boo! It'll keep you in the game much longer and those bags of flour will start feeling like feathers, which is pretty cool.

Work smarter, not harder! A mentor once told me that she always invests in the kind of equipment that alleviates the physical strain of a job like ours. As someone who hopes to keep doing this work well into my later years, this stuck with me. Here is a small example of that kind of investment. Want one of your own? My tiny chickadee came in with me this morning to make the wedding cake for her aunt and uncle, who are getting married today. I didn't realize I would have the pleasure of working alongside her quite this early. She turns 6 in September.

Today is our last day open! We reopen on Friday, August 14th.
