It is so sad that Sweetgrass has closed.

BUT if all goes well Torrey Baked Goods will be back at the Torrey Farmers' Market this year. A smaller selection, but I'm hoping to have French Bread and Bagels every week. We shall see.

Well, this is the LATEST update: because of health issues I have retired from this aspect of baking.

BUT many of the baked goods that people have been buying from The Sweetgrass in Bicknell, Utah will soon be available there again. I am teaching the nice folks there how to make them, starting with French bread. Will keep you informed.

AND: not to worry, nothing serious for me, just that 76 is probably too old for me to be baking every day and delivering. But I will be doing some teaching and working with Bekkah, Lorelei and Erika.

Vanilla buttercream topknots ready to do their best atop cinnamon/cocoa/pecan coffee cakes at The Sweetgrrass. What's in them? Butter (real), vanilla (real — even though the price has skyrocketed to over $30 for a bottle) and sugar. The Sweetgrass Coffee House and Gallery is in Bicknell. Open M/T/W/F 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. S/S 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Closed on Thursday.

BIG NEWS
Starting this Friday, January 15, you will be able to get products from Torrey Baked Goods every day. We will be one of the suppliers to The Sweetgrass Coffee House and Gallery in Bicknell. It is owned by my friends Bekkah and Mike Petree and is a wondrous addition to our lives — beautiful, friendly, warm and delicious.

This week we will be providing them with personal size tomato tarts, individual coffee cakes, French bread and Danish pinwheels made with the same pastry that is used to make croissants (only sweeter and better!).
