APCAM is held annually in November just prior to the Annual Meeting of the Psychonomic Society. The goal of APCAM is to bring together researchers from various theoretical perspectives to present focused research on auditory cognition, perception, and aurally guided action. APCAM is a unique meeting in its exclusive focus on the perceptual, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of audition. This will be the eleventh APCAM, and we look forward to an excellent program.

APCAM 2024 Call for Abstracts: July 2024

It is never too soon to think about it and the next APCAM will be here before we know it. The 23nd annual Auditory Perception, Cognition, and Action Meeting will occur on Thursday, November 21th, 2024 in New York City, NY, USA.

The submission portal for abstracts will be open July 15th and the deadline for abstract submissions will be September 15th. Plenty of time for you to submit your proposal!

Please encourage colleagues and students (undergraduate and graduate) to attend and present their research!!! The more, the merrier!!!

SUBMIT A BRIEF REPORT OF YOUR 2023 APCAM PRESENTATION: Authors of submissions to APCAM 2023 have the opportunity to submit a brief report (approx. 12 - 15 pages main body) of their presentation to Auditory Perception & Cognition (AP&C). Brief Reports are more obviously more substantial than conference proceedings and are peer-reviewed. for possible publication The deadline for submitting a brief report for consideration is January 15, 2024. BRIEF REPORTS OPTION: Authors of submissions to APCAM 2021 have the opportunity to submit a brief report on their presented research for consideration for possible publication in Auditory Perception & Cognition (AP&C). When submitting your APCAM abstract, you can indicate whether you expect to submit a brief report. The deadline for submitting a brief report for consideration is December 31, 2021. APCAM 2021: A reminder to contribute your work to the annual Auditory Perception, Cognition, and Action Meeting (APCAM 2021), which will be a fully virtual meeting that will take place on Thursday, November 4th, 2021.

Submissions should include an abstract of 300 words or less, the title of the proposed presentation, names and affiliations for all contributing authors as they should appear in the conference program, and e-mail contact information for the primary/submitting author. Each submission also should indicate whether there is a preference for an oral or poster presentation. More details are available on the website (https://apcsociety.org/apcam-call.html).

The deadline for submission of abstracts and program proposals is Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:59pm Pacific Time. All abstracts should be submitted online by following the “Submit an Abstract” link on the APCAM tab of the APCS website (https://apcsociety.org/apcam-submit.html).

APCAM 2019!!!

The 18th Annual Auditory Perception, Cognition and Action Meeting (APCAM 2019) will be held on Thursday, November 14th in in Montréal, Québec, Canada. APCAM is a one-day satellite meeting affiliated with the annual meeting of the Psychonomic Society. The goal of APCAM is to bring together researchers from various theoretical perspectives to present focused research on auditory cognition, perception, and aurally guided action.

The call for papers for APCAM 2019 is now available.

The deadline for submission of abstracts and program proposals is September 23, 2019. All abstracts should be submitted online (https://apcsociety.org/apcam-submit.html).

We are also pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for APCAM 2019 will be Dr. Isabelle Peretz from the University of Montréal. We look forward to seeing you in Montréal!
