A Topeka father and son duo have spent 16 years growing fresh local produce while overcoming major health battles.

We’ve been so pleased with the honor system that we offer several times a week…until today.

We sold flats of canners today which were obviously in flats ready to purchase. We witnessed people today building their own flats from the tomatoes in already prepared flats.

We started the honor system as it allows us to sell more times a week, something that’s good for us as well as our customers. Thanks for supporting local. Let’s make this work.

We had an AMAZING day! It started when Farmers Luke and Mark found two huge watermelon in the field. Farmer Mark suggested he auction them off to raise money for State Street Elementary School supplies.

The day started with rain. As the sky cleared customers arrived to bid on the watermelons. The same bidder purchased both melons. The Bottle Rocket sold for $400 and the Black Jack sold for $450!

The backup bidders donated an additional $500 to the fund + donations from other customers. The total raised today was $1,450!!!

We appreciate our customers so much. ALL of this happened because of our customers and their dedication to this community. THANK YOU.
