Small Business Owners — Heads Up

Just a friendly warning from one small business to another…

I’ve had 2 separate scam attempts this week alone, both following the same playbook.

If someone messages you out of the blue wanting to place an order and:

* Immediately pushes for Zelle, CashApp, or other digital payments
* Avoids simple, normal transaction methods (like cash at pickup)
* Says someone else will pick it up
* Gets defensive or overly convincing when questioned
* And yes… even starts quoting Bible verses to “prove” they’re not a scammer

🚩🚩🚩 Those are red flags.

Scammers are getting more creative and more manipulative. They’ll say whatever they think will make you trust them—even trying to appeal to your values.

For me, it’s simple:
👉 Cash at pickup for local orders unless I know you
👉 No exceptions

Legit customers respect your process. Scammers try to work around it.

Protect your time, your product, and your business.

Stay sharp out there 👊
