Wall of Honor 🇺🇸

James David Watkins served with distinction in the U.S. Navy for more than three decades. After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1949, he served aboard submarines during the Korean War, specializing in reconnaissance and later becoming a leader in the Navy’s nuclear propulsion program. During the Vietnam War, he served as executive officer aboard the USS Long Beach, the world’s first nuclear-powered surface warship. Watkins rose to become Chief of Naval Operations before retiring in 1986, earning numerous military decorations throughout his remarkable career.

We honor Admiral James David Watkins for his lifetime of leadership, innovation, and service to our nation.
