As many of you may have heard, recently my sister passed away very unexpectedly at the age of 42. It has been a devastating time for our family and one that has prompted us to look at our lives and reflect on what we would like to do for our future. Life is so precious and so often it is easy to take it for granted. When you deal with a tragedy like this, you change…..life changes. Our time at the Bistro has been so wonderful in so many ways – with the many friends we have made over the past two years being our greatest joy. However, it has also taken us away from family time. As with all businesses in the area, finding staff is always a challenge and the schedule becomes overwhelming. After losing Jenni, we have decided that although we have loved having the Bistro, we miss our family time and have made the very difficult decision to close the Bistro permanently. We will be staying in the area and are planning to continue to live on the lake and hope to see many of the friends we have made at the other great restaurants in the area. We are looking into options for a food truck that we will then use for “pop up” events but, that is only in the planning stages at this point. If and when this happens, we will be posting on Facebook to keep everyone informed. We know that this will come as a shock and a disappointment to many of our wonderful customers but hope you will all understand this has been such a difficult decision for all of us but one we feel is necessary for our family. Also, we are aware there are a number of unused gift certificates that people have. Please watch on our page and we will post days that you can stop in and turn them in for reimbursement. Thank you all for all of your patronage in the past and for your understanding.
