Friends! We’re excited to report that we were able to donate $323 to after our two-month Dolly Cookie fundraiser! Thank you all so much for your support and love of our giant, giant cookies.
In other news, you might have heard that the two gals behind this bakery are soon to be parents again - I’m pregnant and due in September! As things are shifting around for us personally, we’re going to press pause on this little bakery of ours. I LOVE baking for you all, so, so much. But between a full-time job, super fun all-day morning sickness and the general fatigue that comes with pregnancy, I need to slow things down a bit. But fear not, we’re not going away forever! We’re hoping to pop back up from time to time with weekend sales of cookies, cakes, donuts, all delicious things, and even a good amount of freebies.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly. In fact, I tried to keep the juggle going long after it really worked for me—as if I had something to prove. I didn’t want this to look like a failure, or like I couldn’t do it all. But the truth is, I CAN’T DO IT ALL. And that’s ok!!! That’s more than ok!!! That’s being a person. And if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we have to practice self-care all the damn time. So that’s what this is. A big self-care decision.
There will be more fundraisers, more bake sales, and my god, there will be more cookies.
