Warner's Bakery was established in 1949 by Mr. Ellsworth Warner after years of working in cooperation with Mr. Harry Coburn of Coburn's Bake Shoppe in the 1930's. Throughout its early years, the bakery gained popularity for its iconic “Smiley Cookie”. Jim Broadhurst, a local cookie connoisseur, purchased the recipe and in 1986 introduced it as the face of the now famous “Eat ‘n Park Restaurant" co
rporation. Warner also created a special bread recipe known as "GLUTEN" bread because of its high gluten content flour. He developed the recipe in the 1940s as rationing was common and he couldn't always get butter, sugar, or dairy supplies. The bread has been made since that time with only 4 ingredients. IT IS LOW CARB (2 carbs per slice, 7 gr. protein, and no fat, no sugar, no dairy, no preservatives). It has become a favorite for KETO dieters and DIABETICS and fabulously good ... great toasted! Today, the original bakery equipment is still used to produce Mr. Warner’s timeless recipes. From the original Smiley cookie recipe, fresh made cakes to tasty fresh made long-john donuts, there’s certainly something here for everyone. Whether you come to bring back childhood memories or you’re looking to fall in love with today’s new sweet treats, Warner’s Bakery is here to please every taste bud. Mission
