Policies of Service:
Imitation vs. Inspiration:
If you are looking for a cake that is exactly like a picture I will do my best to imitate it and let you know the extent at which I am able to do so. If I am just going off of a basic theme or idea or allowed just inspiration from a photo and am not given direct instructions to attempt replicating a cake, I will be creating an original design that w
ill be approved with you before beginning. In this case I will always go over ideas with you and make sure whatever I create is something you will love and enjoy eating! Refunds:
I will always do my best to provide a great looking and tasting cake for your event however we all make mistakes and in the event that I completely mess up a design (butterfly decorations instead of dinosaurs for example) or cake/icing flavors (vanilla instead of chocolate, etc.) I will do everything in my power to fix the issue or offer a full or partial refund. Any problems with design must be brought up at the time of pickup or delivery. After the cake is in your possession, I will consider it "accepted" and refunds based off of major design issue will no longer be offered. It is your responsibility to speak to me at the time of pickup or delivery so that we can discuss fixing any design issue and I can attempt to correct my mistake. Refunds will not be given for minor color or design discrepancies/variations. No cake that is given a full refund for will be given to you under any circumstance. If you make it clear that my mistakes are dire enough that you feel a full refund is necessary you will be forfeiting your order completely. Deposits:
I do require a non-refundable 25% deposit on cakes totaling more than $75 before I will begin working on your cake. If this deposit is not paid at least a week prior to your delivery or pickup day your order will not be made. Payment in Full Policy:
Any order totaling more than $150 will be required to be paid in full before it is booked or guaranteed. If payment isn't made in full and the day you're requesting gets booked by others, your order will not be completed. Even though we may discuss details of your order, until it is paid in full it will not be confirmed or planned in my calendar. If you are unable to pay in full at the time of knowing it will be required (when I give you a quote, confirmed total, or invoice) you will run the risk of losing availability at no fault of mine. Cancelations:
Since most orders will not require a deposit, any canceled order more than a week before your event/pickup time will be forgiven and any refundable payment made will be refunded. I understand things happen, sometimes pickup becomes impossible for health or financial reasons but I always urge you to shoot me a message and see if we can work something out ahead of time if that be the case. If your order is being canceled less than a week before your pickup/delivery day it is likely that I have already begun working on your order it will be at my discretion whether or not to continue business with you in the future. It will also be at my discretion to require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your orders total if I do continue business with you to protect my time, services, and availability for other clients. Any order that requires a deposit and cancels forfeits the deposit no matter the time frame in which it was canceled. Pickup/Delivery:
I will confirm with you the date, time, and location of your pickup or delivery to ensure arrival of your sweets for your event. If at any time this needs to change please let me know as soon as possible. Please note that pickup is completely your responsibility, I will make myself available to you in every way possible but I can only do so much. Depending on the distance traveled to deliver your cake, delivery charges may apply. If there is a last minute change from pickup to delivery and I am able to deliver, I will require a fee depending on the distance that I am traveling to deliver to be paid before I will begin the process of transporting your cake. If I am for whatever reason unable or unwilling to make the last minute change from pickup to delivery it will still be your sole responsibility to pickup your order. If pickup is not made for whatever reason, I reserve the right to sell the product or donate it at my discretion. There will be no refunds for orders that have been paid but did not show up/did not give me details for delivery. Damaged Cake Repairs:
As soon as the cake is out of my hands and left in your possession it is no longer my responsibility. Any damages that happen to the cake after I am no longer responsible for its care will incur a $50 damages fee to be fixed and if they cannot be fixed and the product needs replacement additional charges may apply. Please note that if you have any questions about the proper care or transportation of your cake I am more than willing to answer them for you and help in any way that I can to ensure a happy event for everyone!
