Lately, I’ve been getting lots of cake inspo pics made by AI—so cool to see what’s out there! While I do my best to recreate the look, every cake I make is crafted by my real hands-with real ingredients, real work, and a whole lot of heart.💙 (no bots in my kitchen 😄 Perfection is not found here). My cake is obviously the first pic.

Smaller wedding cake (4.5”, 6” & 8”) & personalized groom’s cake. 😍

Lessons learned from this gorgeous cake:

#1: This size is TOO big for me. 😅
(The sheer height & weight made it the most precarious, stressful set-up in over 17 years. I used a 5 tiered ladder to place tiers. My heart was dangerously racing throughout the entire hour).

#2: Even though brides & planners & florists all know how many flowers the bride has requested to adorn the cake, it is NEVER guaranteed that there will actually be enough waiting on us when we arrive.
(Things happen. No one is perfect. We have to work with what we are given. 🤷‍♀️ My husband was on his bad knees over an hour helping me to prep & place each & every twig. He was my rockstar! 🤩 )

#3: I am SO blessed to work with the customers I encounter.
(God has given me amazing opportunities to be a part of some extremely special events & most brides & families have been SO gracious & kind. I know every cake is imperfect, but you guys are just sweet anyway 🥰).
