If you’ve visited us, you know we are much more than just a little dessert shop. We carry a variety of local goods including honey, coffee, art and occasionally we feature sweet items from Crategift. Check out these adorable watering stations for bees. Handmade by one of TD’s sisters. Great for gifting or for yourself. We have one in our garden at home. The 🐝 give their approval.

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow! We’ve been baking up a storm. Look for slices of Death by Chocolate, tapenade, pimento cheese, pickles, granola bars and mocha java sorbet to name a few items in store for you. We’re open 10-3 Thursday-Saturday.

Happy Tuesday! I’ve been making a conscious effort to keep my cats off our business IG page. I even set up an account for our boss cat Tannat (supposedly, the last cat we’d ever have). You can follow her Tannat (Chuck’s nickname for me). I thought that would be where I could share Dempsey cat photos.
You know what? If you know me, you know I’m an animal lover and that’s that. So, here at my bake shop as I take a break from making tapenade and pimento cheese for our shop this week, I share with you a piece of my heart. Little Miss Picpoul living her best life.
I love lots of people, loads of animals, and I love making food that makes you all happy.
So, an occasional photo of members of our clowder of cats might pop up alongside photos of desserts and such in our biz feed. No apologies.

Rabbit Rabbit!! Happy August 1st!
Today is our hands-on baking class where we are revisiting recipes from Death by Chocolate by the late Chef Marcel Desaulniers. Chuck gifted this book to me over 30 years ago and it inspired me to pursue the career path I would eventually take post-grad school. 🇫🇷 🎂🧑‍🍳
How serendipitous that tomorrow- August 2 is his birthdate.
When Facebook was just becoming a thing, I messaged him to tell him he’d been a mentor from afar. And he replied!
We’ll have the Death by Chocolate cake available by the slice next week during store hours.
