Hi! There are so many new followers from the last couple weeks that I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and show my face again 😊
I wish I could say hi each time you’ve picked up your orders, but covid has limited our interaction and I don’t know/recognize so many of you! I hope in the next year, as we hopefully adjust to a new normal, I’ll be able to get to know some of you a little bit!!

A few fun facts about me and the business:

I have been married for 15 yrs and have 2 beautiful little girls.
Being a stay at home mama is my first job, and being able to do this cookie side hustle allows me to be able to continue to live that dream 💕 (So thank you!)

I am a licensed cosmetologist-since 2012. I find it very interesting how many cookiers (yes, that’s what the technical term is!) were in the cosmetology business before starting cookies. It took me a little while to figure out what creative outlet I needed in my life and cookie art seems to be the perfect fit!

I don’t eat my cookies very often and don’t even really smell the fresh baked smell anymore. Every once in awhile I’ll do a quality control check-I’ll eat a small cookie with a little icing drizzled on it and call it a day. They’re always so yummy!

I pay my family in cookies to help me when I have a presale and overbook myself. They help me pack up all the cookies and get all the orders together. They don’t ever complain 😉 They’re the best!

I’ve been decorating cookies for as long as I can remember. My mom used to let us pile on the icing and sprinkles when we were little for all the holidays and I always thought it was so fun. Anyone else?! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Jo’s Desserts started on a whim when a good friend requested cookies for a shower-thanks .need.more.wine -and it’s been growing steadily ever since. Easter of this year I celebrated 2 yrs of officially being in business!

Thank you so much for being here! I appreciate your support in the form of orders, likes, comments, and shares. This (not so) little cookie hustle has grown so quickly and so much bigger then I ever imagined. ❤️❤️❤️

!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Hey friends! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been on this space. I’ve been busy finishing up the school year with my kids.
I wanted to say that I’m officially no longer accepting new custom cake orders at this time (I’ve put this announcement off for sometime). I’m taking a break to focus on my kids and continuing their education at home!
It’s not been an easy decision, but one that feels like the right and best decision at this time in my life.
Does this mean I’m closing forever? I hope not. In a year or two things might look different. My hope is to one day take orders again, as I love this work and especially love baking for you!
