We are finally home and in bed!!! But before we go get some much needed and well deserved rest for the evening, there are some special people I’d like to shout out and thank.
This year, we had a miraculous opportunity given to us by the incredible Kohler Expos, Inc. team, and I want to thank Sarah and Carmen. Your faith and dedication to raising up small businesses that stood for celebrating women is the very reason I could not wait to be a part of your show. Your volunteers, your mix of INCREDIBLE vendors have been amazing to work with. Thank you for having faith in me, in my work, in what I want to bring to this world. Without your support and faith in me, I could never have been able to do this. Your lifetime opportunity has literally changed my life.
My parents Ntxhi Haam and Jason Diffenbaugh, who took care of Jaiden, no questions asked because you knew how important it was for me to go make my dreams come true. Knowing he was safe and loved and I was able to go work and grow my business could not have happened without your support.
My sisters and brothers, Lily Kue, Koto Kwm, Claudine Chen, Nkauj La Kue, and Nickie Vang; Vichaan Tujaang Kue, Kwms Alex, and Alex Yang. You all came to support me. No questions asked. You showed up, you helped restock, sell, kept me company, gave me a place to sleep and fed me. Your support means the world to me.
My friends Katie Rust, TyGr Nguyen, Gauge Mackey, who helped mentor me, give me suggestions, helped me at the booth, or my bestie who went over every design, every menu, every flavor and kept me sane when I overthought every detail with me, my business has incredible supporters because friends like you showed me what I was capable of.
New friends like Allow Nourishment, The Good Feet Store, Midwest Women’s Expos who not only gave me shout outs, sent their own customers to find me, and tell every one of them how wonderful my goodies are, we all made it!!! Small businesses who are doing huge incredible things! I wish the VERY BEST to all of us in our growth and success!
My dad Fue Kue, 11 years ago today, you supported me by buying my first cake board for my very first competition because you knew how important it was for me. Today I finished my third and last expo of the year for my first year of my business.
And lastly, my little sous chef, my reason, my everything, Jaiden. Mommy does ALL of this for you! So that one day, You will also have the courage to go for your dreams.
We did it!! One year of expos down, a million more dreams to come.
