Our friends at Harrogate Plant & Produce are getting ready to wrap up another wonderful season, but not before helping y'all plan for Christmas! 🎁

Their last day of the season will be October 24th as they prepare for some exciting improvements, including a newly paved parking lot!

But don't worry, you can still get those Christmas goodies and gift baskets ordered! 🎄

🤍💍 A Little Rain, A Lot of Love, and Two Beautiful Weddings 💍🤍

Today, Appalachian Baking Co. had the honor of being a small part of not one, but TWO beautiful wedding celebrations! 🤍

Our team spent the day carefully putting the finishing touches on wedding cakes, knowing that each one would become a small part of a couple's story. And as we worked, listening to the rain pouring down outside, I couldn't help but reflect on something.

We often think of rain on a wedding day as unfortunate. After all, couples spend months dreaming of the perfect day, and rain isn't usually part of that picture.

But there's an old tradition that says rain on your wedding day is actually a blessing. 🌧️❤️

You see, when two people are married, we often say they've "tied the knot." And according to that tradition, a knot that becomes wet is much harder to untie.

What a beautiful picture of marriage.

Because marriage isn't a promise that every day will be filled with sunshine. There will be storms, unexpected showers, and seasons when the skies seem a little darker than we hoped.

But perhaps the blessing isn't in avoiding the rain at all.

Perhaps it's in finding someone who will stand beside you through every storm, holding tightly to the promises you made, even when life gets a little messy.

And maybe, just maybe, the rain that falls on your wedding day is a sweet reminder that the strongest marriages aren't built on perfect weather, but on faith, commitment, grace, and a love that refuses to let go. 🤍

To our two newly married couples, thank you for allowing Appalachian Baking Co. to play a small part in such an important day. It is a privilege we never take lightly.

Out of respect for our brides and grooms, we'll be keeping their beautiful cakes tucked away until they've had the opportunity to share their own wedding memories first. We can't wait for you all to see them! 🎂

Our prayer for both couples is that the years ahead bring far more sunshine than storms, but when the rain does come, may it only strengthen the knot that binds your hearts together.

🌧️ Well, the rain had other plans for us tonight!

Unfortunately, Appalachian Baking Co. won’t be able to make it to the Cumberland Gap Small Farmers Market this evening. With the rain, we decided it was best to sit this one out.

We know so many of y’all were looking forward to our Battle of the Bakers Challenge—and don’t worry, it’s not canceled! 🧁⚔️ We’ll be rescheduling the challenge so everyone still gets the chance to taste, vote, and help us crown a winner!

We were excited to spend the evening with y’all, but sometimes Mother Nature gets the final say. 🌧️

Stay tuned for the new Battle of the Bakers date—we promise it’ll be worth the wait! 🤎

🥊🍰 THE BATTLE OF THE BAKERS IS ON! 🍰🥊

This Friday marks our LAST Cumberland Gap Small Farmers Market of the year, and we wanted to do something extra fun to celebrate — and to say THANK YOU to the community that has supported us from the very beginning. 🤎

The Cumberland Gap Small Farmers Market holds a pretty special place in the story of Appalachian Baking Co. When ABC began in 2024, this was our very first market. Then, in 2025, our niece Isabella — The Cake Lady — joined the team, bringing another generation of our family into the ABC kitchen.

Over the past few years, we’ve loved bringing you the Appalachian-inspired desserts we grew up with, adding our own gourmet twists along the way.

But this Friday, there may be a little family competition behind the bakery table. 😂

Our challenge: CHOCOLATE SWISS ROLLS!

We’ll each head into our own kitchen and create our own version of this classic dessert. Different bakers. Different techniques. Different recipes.

Then we're leaving the most important part up to YOU!

Stop by the ABC booth and sample Swiss Roll A and Swiss Roll B. We won't tell you who made which one until the competition is over. Taste them both, choose your favorite, and CAST YOUR VOTE!

And there’s something in it for our judges, too. 😉

This weekend was an extra sweet one for our Appalachian Baking Co. family. 🤎

We had the opportunity to support our nieces as they worked hard to raise funds for their upcoming pageants — two of the most beautiful girls we know… although we might be just a little biased! 🥰

And because around here, loving people usually means feeding people, this quickly became a whole-family effort!

Their mom, Malena, made homemade fudge to add to the table, Appalachian Baking Co. donated some of our goodies, and their Nana added her homemade pumpkin rolls and peach cobblers. Three generations in the kitchen, all coming together for two very special girls. ❤️

To everyone who stopped by their booth at the Heritage Festival in Scott County, Tennessee, purchased something, offered encouragement, or simply stopped to say hello — THANK YOU!

Every purchase was more than just a sweet treat. It was someone in our community saying, “We support you. Keep going.” And that means more to these girls and their family than you know.

We are so thankful we got to play a small part in their weekend, and even more thankful for a community that continues to show up and support our kids as they chase their goals.

We love you girls, and we are so proud of you! 🤎
