Our bread maker, Nancy, decided this was the perfect week to sneak away to the beach, but she'll be back next week with all your favorite sandwich breads and rolls, just in time for your 4th of July celebrations! 🇺🇸🍞

A sweet Momma reached out to us looking for a bakery that could deliver a special birthday surprise to her daughter who is attending Lincoln Memorial University.

Well, y'all know us... we could never pass up an opportunity to help a Momma celebrate her child, even when she can't be there in person.

When she told us what she had in mind, we were honored to help bring it all together. We immediately suggested a beautiful flower arrangement from Christy's Florist. We've personally purchased flowers from Christy for years, and she never fails to amaze us with her talent, creativity, and attention to detail. Just look at those gorgeous blooms! 💐

This special delivery included fresh flowers, a birthday cake, and a box of our signature cookies. Seeing the joy it brought reminded us that there truly is nothing sweeter than a mother's love.

This opportunity brought so much happiness to us and our customers that we're considering offering a new service just for LMU students and their families!

Deliveries would be limited to the LMU campus and student housing in the Harrogate and Cumberland Gap area, with regular deliveries available on Wednesdays.

Miss Isabella always does stunning work, and this wedding cake is no exception. Every scroll, ruffle, and detail was carefully piped by hand, creating a timeless design worthy of such a special occasion.

Some of y'all may not know this, but my great-nephew is the only person I've ever shared our top-secret Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe with. ❤️

Let me tell you, he is already mastering the Appalachian Baking Co. spirit that has been passed down through generations of our family. There is something special about spending time in the kitchen together, sharing recipes, stories, and traditions.

When I asked him how he wanted to make the cookies, his response was immediate:

"Aunt Cookie, can we make them really big?!?!?" 🍪😂

Well, of course we could! So we whipped up some giant ½-pound Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookies, and they turned out every bit as fun as you'd imagine.

I truly enjoyed spending the day baking with this sweet young man. Watching the next generation learn, create, and fall in love with baking fills my heart in ways I can't quite put into words.

I can't wait for our next baking adventure. ❤️

🍪 Introducing Our New Bakehouse Collection 🍪

Y'all know I've been chasing the perfect balance when it comes to a truly great cookie.

Not a stuffed cookie.
Not a cookie piled high with toppings.

Just a really, really good cookie.

For months, I've been tweaking recipes, adjusting ingredients, testing batches, and handing cookies out to family and friends asking, "What do you think now?" 😂

The goal was simple: create a rich bakehouse-style cookie with crisp edges, a soft center, the perfect chew, and a deep, complex flavor that keeps you reaching for another bite.

Well friends, I think we've finally found it.

Tomorrow at Harrogate Plant and Produce, you'll be among the first to try our brand new Bakehouse Collection!

What a wonderful evening!

We were so happy to meet and visit with so many of our customers tonight. Many of you already knew our products from your weekly trips to Harrogate Plant and Produce, but it was such a blessing to finally put faces with the names of the folks enjoying our baked goods each week.

Tonight was nearly a complete sellout for Appalachian Baking Co.! We finished the evening with just a few muffins and cookies remaining, which gave us the opportunity to share some sweet treats with our fellow vendors. These small businesses work tirelessly to bring quality, handcrafted products to our community, and we are honored to stand alongside them. We encourage you to support these talented artisans and makers whenever you have the opportunity.

A special thank you to Hillfolk TN for all the hard work, planning, and dedication that goes into making this event possible each year. Your vendors and visitors truly notice the love and effort you pour into creating such a meaningful community gathering.

If you weren't able to make it out tonight, don't worry! You can still find a few Appalachian Baking Co. goodies at Harrogate Plant & Produce tomorrow, and we'll be restocking again next week beginning Wednesday.
