Well…sort of…
So here’s the deal. This is not goodbye :) more of just a touching base to update where we are at, how you can get our kits, and me being very transparent with just how hard it is to be a small business owner these days..
When I started this business a few years ago I (along with my tremendous support system) poured my heart and soul into making it all happen. From a business perspective, it was so challenging (as it always is for us small biz owners!)…but especially when you are in a very specific field finding an insurance company that would give me a policy, to even just plain getting people to understand what it is that I was selling…challenge, challenge, challenge!
But we figured it out, and the community of Greenville (and many online friends) was sooo welcoming to us. Problem is, we keep the price points of our kits to where people can afford them. It was never really about the money. That being said, insurance is doubling. We’ve closed the doors to our retail location at Westside Market due to barely covering our rent each month. Even our website costs more than it’s worth at the moment. And life really got “lifey” for us… sudden losses of friends & family members, house projects, jobs that pay the bills…it was killing us to make it to every single farmer’s market, pop up, etc. So many late nights making playdough, so little sleep!
