A little behind-the-scenes of your Tuesday loaf🍞

That jar of starter in the photo? That’s where it all begins!

When you place your Tuesday porch pickup order, your dough gets mixed Sunday night, stretched & folded over the next few hours then ferments overnight.

Monday morning, each loaf gets shaped and tucked into the fridge for a nice, long cold ferment. This slow process is what gives sourdough that amazing flavor and texture & can make it easier for many people to digest.

Then Tuesday morning it's bake day!
Fresh from the oven and ready for your porch pickup that afternoon.

Good bread takes time & I promise it's so worth the wait 😋

This will be our last bake 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵, while I take a little break from the kitchen to visit my son 💙

Morning temps in the 50s has me craving all things Autumn 🍂

Seasonal sourdough recipes are being tested and this morning was the perfect day to try this sourdough pumpkin coffee cake. Perfectly spiced, ribboned with cinnamon sugar and topped with a crunchy buttery crumble.
