Chocolate Pi is an artisan bakery founded by Pastry Chef Kim Yelvington, and continues to be a family run business with Kim and her daughter Jade being the creative forces behind the baked goods. Our mission as a company is to provide a product made with only the finest ingredients, a product made lovingly from scratch- with recipes ranging from old family favorites passed down through the generat

ions and tweaked a bit, to recipes created out of a constant desire for perfecting our desserts, cakes, confections, and coffee. But most of all, we hold it as our standard to make everything- from our smallest confections and coffees, to our grandest wedding cakes- not only completely delicious, but beautiful as well.

This week’s hours are: Thursday: closed. Friday and Saturday regular hours 12-9pm. Sunday afternoon tea at 3:30pm, there are a few spots left!
I was honored to provide sweets for this amazing bridal shower, for a simply incredible family! Lori plans her families events down to the slightest detail, whether it is making the napkins herself, printing invitations, and she has an eye for excellence. It always a joy to work with her, this is her daughter’s bridal shower, from last Saturday. Thank you Lori!

Last week was a challenging week with some technical difficulties. We all experienced the hurricane drill last week, with torrential downpours and the challenges of Florida weather. This week, my 1918 bungalow in Seminole Heights was tented for termites, and I took a little staycation around Seminole heights for a few days. I would like to thank my neighbors, who become customers, and then friends. This group of residents in Seminole Heights is unparalleled.
I would like to personally thank William and Pat, who worked themselves to exhaustion on Sunday, clearing my yard for the tenting process. My next door neighbors, Ryan & Rachel for always being there for me, and all Ryan’s work keeping our front sidewalks beautiful. My other neighbor, Deborah for letting me go on her property to get my garage ready for the termite guys. Ben & Megan for helping trim tree limbs off my roof. My chocolate pi family for understanding how these things effect the business hours, and I truly appreciate you all for coming in week after week.

Thank you to Zach, my landlord for his support and quick response to our technical issues, during the first hurricane drill of the year. We are more prepared now! I appreciate you more than you know!
I had a chance to explore my neighborhood this week, and I want to highlight some neighborhood businesses that I enjoyed this week: Spaddy’s for coffee, Trip’s, Burger spot, King of the coop, a beautiful Airbnb hosted by Johnny, right on the river, that makes you feel like you are a million miles from any stresses. Magnum Termite, for tenting my house, and Health Mutt for spa day for my German Shepherd Dog.

Book your afternoon tea reservations; simply text your name, number of guests, the date you would like to come in, and if any of your guests are vegetarians. Afternoon tea is a full meal, served on a tiered tray, including scones, jam and cream, with tea sandwiches, mini-quiche, savory bites, and desserts, for $45 per person.

For June, the afternoon tea inspiration will be summer fruits, peaches and cream. In July, afternoon tea will be Christmas in July themed. Last by not least, for August, afternoon tea will be 80’s themed!
