Making panels.

First dry fit of an Oak 4'-0" 6'-10" RH door. A bit of fettling here and there is needed, but all in all, a fine fit. I started milling the panels today. The upper mid panel will be glass.

Rough dimensioning of this beautiful red oak is done. Cut out from larger boards with a circular saw, I planed them flat and straight. The third photo is my perspective while using winding sticks, used to determine if and where a board might be twisted. The fourth pic is my thickness planer, and a deep pile of it's detritus. Anyone have hamsters or guinea pigs? I do use power tools when I can or must. I'll start milling these tomorrow.

Custom closet is done. Upper and lower hanging, a space for a few full length dresses and gowns, and maximized shelf space.
