Strawberry buns are here, and we couldn’t be happier! We are so lucky to live so close to some of the best strawberry growers in the country- we buy these from spoonerfarmspuyallup right from Tacoma’s farmers markets! We cut them up and roast them for 2 hours before adding them into our buns with a lemon vanilla filling and p**f, this seasonal bun is just about perfect.

All signs are showing a beautiful sunny day tomorrow. Come out and support all of us vendors at the Proctor Farmers' Market - we really hope to see you!

It’s that time of year again - seasonal buns with ingredients that grow locally on farms that bring their produce right to Tacoma and more specifically to the ! It’s kind of magical and makes us feel more connected to the growing season and to the farmers who work this land.

Although we continuously try to source local ingredients throughout the year, we are excited to be using local rhubarb and strawberries for our buns over the next several weeks. We hope to add a new fruit bun this summer as well- maybe using plums, peaches and/or raspberries. Any ideas?? (Take the poll!)

For now we hope you enjoy the rhubarb custard buns and the strawberry vanilla buns. Such a fun time of year at the market!

This evening we are all feeling gratitude for our couches amongst other things like family, friends, community, health and food. Bake days are long- so much standing, then walking two steps and then standing some more. Did we mention standing? Despite all the fun energy in the kitchen- the jokes, the banter, the commiserating, the singing, it is so nice to put the last pan of buns in the oven, finish the last dish, mop the last square of floor and get home to be horizontal for a little bit. Simple pleasure, right!

Fret not, tomorrow morning we’ll be able to stand again, just in time to see your beautiful faces at the - we’ll have all the buns and we’ll be making waffles with our homemade rhubarb jam. See you soon! ❤️

We are back after a much needed (questionably well deserved) break last week! Here is our assortment of buns we’ll have for you tomorrow - a fun array of different flavors. Chocolate-Hazelnut and Lemon in the middle surrounded by Vanilla, Almond-Orange, Cinnamon, Blueberry, Cardamom and Rhubarb Custard!

We’ll also be making waffles and have a limited number of cardamom dinner rolls- so don’t miss it! Hope to see you all tomorrow at the ❤️

It’s so fun to bake and to see our friends at the market- but it’s also fun not to bake and to hang out with our families! We’re always trying to perfect that balance and it’s always a struggle, isn’t it? We hope you’re all working on that balance too- and enjoying this beautiful spring, your families and friends and yourselves. Don’t let the beautiful weather distract you from remembering to celebrate your beautiful mothers! Mother’s Day is barreling around the corner and we’d love to be a sweet and joyous part of your celebrations!

Pre-orders are now open for our signature braids for pick up on Saturday, May 9th at the - we will have all our classic bun flavors in braided form perfect for sharing in larger groups. We’ll be offering cardamom, cinnamon, almond-orange, chocolate-hazelnut, vanilla and blueberry braids. Please find the link in our bio to order and we’ll handle the rest!

Each braid serves about 8 people a decent sized portion- simply remove from the plastic bag, place on a tray, heat up in oven at 350 deg F for 5 minutes and serve! If you need to freeze for a later date- just follow the same directions and reheat for about 10 or 11 minutes from frozen. ❤️

3 years of baking together and this portrait of us might be better than any picture we’ve taken. Noah especially loves how the caricature artist interpreted his hairstyle! Of course Thea’s beauty and glamour are really perfected as well!

This little cutie is too small to sell at the market- but do you know that you can order mini buns just like this for your parties and get togethers? Mini buns are perfect for family celebrations, weekend brunches and really any occasion. They are a little less of a commitment than our normal buns at 2/3 size and give classy vibes!

Go to our website (link in bio) and click on ‘special events’ to order! These would be great for Mother’s Day too! Look out for our pre-order coming out soon- we’ll be making a lot of beautiful braids for your mommies and all who love them!
