Graduation cake with a creative twist!

Books closed. Tassel turned. Time to celebrate 🎓

If you know me, you know i love getting out of the standard lines, so when i was asked to make a Grad cake, i had to take it up a notch from your usual plastic tassel & diploma cake.

Loved creating this graduation-inspired cake with layered sugar paper “pages,” bold fondant panels in the school colors, and gold details for a modern academic look.

I’ve been in a full macaron frenzy the past few months — especially since starting this wholesale adventure — and cakes have quietly taken the backstage.

Cake decorating was actually my first love. I started as a little kid, completely mesmerized by buttercream and piping tips.

But macarons… those are my passion now.
(And let’s be honest — they’re a lot easier to transport than a tiered cake 😅)

Still, every once in a while a cake pulls me right back to the early days.

This one did.

A tiny magical forest with chocolate tree bark, whimsical mushrooms, and the sweetest little snail slowly making its way through the woods.

It reminded me why I fell in love with cake decorating in the first place. ✨
