🌸Good Morning, Friends! Life is indeed a journey... After much prayerful consideration, I've decided to no longer sell my baked goods and confections. The Lord is calling me to use my talents in other ways.❤️

My most favorite part of the farmer's market is being involved with the community and getting the chance to visit with so many wonderful people. I will certainly still be there each week to support all the amazing vendors, see old friends and make new ones. I hope you are, too!

Did you know Wild Pansies (also called Johnny Jump-Ups) are completely edible, including flowers, leaves, and stems? They have a minty, slightly sweet flavor making them ideal for salads, desserts, tea and garnishes.🌸

They're growing all throughout our woods this season, and I bet you can find some near your home, too!💕

We've paired them with some of our cultivated Johnny Jump-Ups and thyme on these lemon shortbread cookies.🌿

March begins a season of transition, hope, and new beginnings. We breathe deep and then exhale a sigh of relief as life renews all around us...

We've updated our page name from "Vitale in the South" (which was a nod to our business in Nebraska) to "Rising Bird Gardens".

After 3 years of "Life" in the South, we've come to know our little piece of land more intimately and feel our new name best captures the beauty and intention of all we hope to nurture in it.
