I wanted to jump on here and first and foremost thank everyone for the last 6 years. It has been an absolute blast. I pushed myself so hard at times and still managed to get weddings, graduations, baby showers, birthday parties, and gender reveals all knocked out. There were definitely a lot of tears along the way, a lot of growing, and meeting new people.. It was amazing. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to post that I will no longer be taking orders. I took on a full time job and I can’t justify being gone all day at work and then baking all night, it’s simply not fair to my girls. As much as I will miss doing these crazy weddings and set ups and hanging out with you guys.. I want to be able to spend time with my girls before they grow up right under my nose. I’m sure I’ll still take small orders here and there because I have a hard time telling people no 😆 however anything that involves a lot of time I will have to decline for the time being. I hope to one day get back into it when they get older. ☺️ until then.. Eat dessert first 😉 xoxo

I didn’t get any pictures of wedding #2 unfortunately.. but here’s why 🙃

I had been stressing out about this wedding for months. I’d never done two weddings this big together on the same day before.. it was over 700 cupcakes, 10 different flavors, and a wedding cake.. all just by me.. (I really do need an assistant for days like yesterday) 😆

So anyway.. this second wedding really wanted everything set up in advance before everyone got there, I basically told them that was impossible because of time and driving and how close the weddings were in start time and they were an hour away from each other.. but I said I’d try my best. So the day of the weddings I was doing great on time. Groom calls me and I’m like ‘oh yeah I’ll definitely be done before cake time’ 😆 well then I wasn’t.. I had everything loaded into my van and then it WOULDN’T START. Seriously?! Today is not the day. So a friend came and rescued me and I borrowed his wife’s suv and went on my way. I didn’t even arrive to this second wedding until 6pm and I said I’d be done by 7 😆 unloading 300 cupcakes, frosting, and decorating in an hour.. not happening 😆 plus this wedding wanted chocolate covered strawberries so I was setting that up.. somehow I managed to get everything frosted by 7:15. It was literally a miracle. But the best part was that the cupcake table was right by the buffet line so everyone had to stand next to me while they waited for food and I kept hearing ‘oh this is so cool’ ‘we get to watch her frost’ ‘look how awesome that looks’ everyone had so much fun watching everything get set up. I had SO MUCH fun with everyone watching and asking questions. Usually I set up before anyone’s there and leave and miss all the fun. I even had a little boy come up and ask questions and I let him frost his own cupcake. It was seriously such a blast! And these strawberries that people got to come order and have freshly dipped right in front of them was so awesome. They loved it!

So that’s pretty much why there’s no pictures, there was never a set up because these cupcakes flew off the table before I even had a chance to see how it looked 😆 I even had to snag a plate for the bride and groom because they were running out of flavors so fast.

I am also very thankful I was healthy enough to do these two weddings. 🙏 The last couple years I’ve had a lot of unexpected things happen that were out of my control and I was so worried I’d somehow miss all of this.
