✨ From Kala Bakes to The Flour Craft ✨
Over the past few months, many of you have asked why Kala Bakes became The Flour Craft, and what—if anything—has changed. Today, I’d love to share the heart behind the rebrand 🤍
Why the new name?
Kala Bakes never truly felt like me. It was simple, familiar, and widely used—and I wanted a name that felt intentional, distinctive, and deeply connected to my work. The Flour Craft reflects what I love most: the artistry, skill, and care that go into every pastry, cake, and detail. A name that, when you hear it, you immediately envision this brand and these creations ✨
A new direction (with the same heart).
This rebrand also marks the beginning of an exciting evolution—from a business centered primarily on custom cakes to a micro bakery experience offering thoughtfully crafted pastries, cookies, cakes, and desserts, alongside custom cake and dessert catering. This shift allows for a more balanced, sustainable workflow while continuing to serve you with the same level of quality and creativity you’ve come to expect.
Where we are right now.
Part of this transition included plans for a small storefront space, which would have allowed us to offer fresh baked goods weekly and create a place for customers to visit, browse menus, view cake displays, and interact with The Flour Craft in person. While that location hasn’t worked out just yet, we’re actively working toward the right space to bring this vision to life 🌿
For now, The Flour Craft will continue to operate primarily online, with:
✨ Limited custom cake availability
✨ Weekly preorder menus for fresh baked goods
✨ A continued focus on quality, creativity, and growth
While it may look like not much has changed on the surface, this chapter is all about building a stronger, more intentional future—and I’m so grateful to have you along for the journey 🤍
