As I write this I am thinking of even healthier ways to make Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites' tasty tiny pies. Stop by our spot at the Swansea Farmers Market on Thursday, May 1st on the Big R (formerly Rural King) lot on 159. You'll like what we're doing. Come see!

Swansea Farmers Market is in the same place--on the Big R (formerly Rural King) parking lot on Thursdays from 10:00a to 2:00p starting May 1, 2025, and it runs until Thursday, October 30, 2025. Find fresh flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, household items, probably other things I've forgotten to add, and of course, yours truly--Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites, will have tiny delicious hand pies. These delectable treats are made from dried fruit, including peaches, apples, cherries, or blueberries.
I'll offer a different specialty flavor each week, as well as, our ever popular small red cinnamon-flavored candy apples and, weather permitting, apple slices dipped in chocolate and caramel with nuts. All my eats are small enough to satisfy a sweet tooth but not big enough to wreck your diet! Watch for our cute smiling face banner! To place your order early (we've been known to run out early), call us at 618-310-0369.

So I’m still learning how to do all this social media stuff but I want to give a big Thank-You to Taylor of Taylor’s Sourdough (she makes really sourdough products , folks) who stepped up and sold my products for a sick, broken down, tired me (did I mention old?) this morning at the Market at the Station. Taylor shared her space and her sweet disposition and kind spirit to sell my pies and to care for my customers. Thank you again, Taylor. I’ll stop here ‘cause I’m sleepy and I don’t want to accidentally write something crazy. I’ll see y’all at the Swansea Farmers Market on Thursday and at the Market at the Station in Belleville on Saturday. Have a fantabulous week Everybody!

I had the most fantastical (is that a word?) time today at the Swansea Farmer's Market. I'm just getting my "sea" legs so I haven't graduated to videos yet: maybe next time. Any way, thanks to Jack Johnson, a dear family friend, when I returned from an errand, my tent and table had been set up and he even sold some Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites on my behalf! Thank you, Jack.
Connie and Deb, Market Manager and Treasurer, respectively, of the Swansea Farmer's Market, are second to none. I have found new friends and that excites me. I even saw an old friend that I had not seen in light years. Imagine, this old girl, so used to sitting at a desk and shoving papers, out and about as a vendor at a farmers market. Who knew?!?
Shout out to Renee of Lochshire Farms (can hardly wait to dive into those fresh greens) and especially to my new friends Deb Bauchman and her son, Matt. You may have wondered about the Reader's Digest cover on my page. I accidentally put it there but I didn't know how to get rid of it. Well, thanks to Matt and his expertise, it's gone. P**f! Just like that. Thank you Matt, and Deb, the Berry Blast popcorn is the bomb. These folks make and sell KETTLE CORN! And did you know that popcorn can be frozen? I didn't. Just learned it today. Look for Bauchman Kettle Corn (follow your nose).
Full disclosure: I just HAD to take a nap once I got home from the farmer's market. I was bushed and had gone as far as I could go. Since my nap, I have almost fully recovered and the tiny wheels in my head are looking forward to the farmers market in Belleville this Saturday from 8a to 12p at LongStory Coffee at the old train station on Hwy 159. You'll see Clara B's Kitchen Table's food truck out front. I'm told though that the easiest access to the market is off High Street. I hope to see you there! Look for our sign with the cut smiling pie face. Tiny Pies. Big Smiles. Thanks to the design team at United Ink Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites has a brand logo.
Well, I think I'll catch a few more ZZZs, then get back to reflecting on this fantabulous day and planning for Saturday at the Belleville Farmers Market.

In a recent post in the World Happiness Report, Americans fell from 15th to 23rd place in the international rankings of happiness. However, Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites has learned a solution to this problem that affects us all in one way or another. According to scientists, something as simple as eating pie boosts chemicals essential to the body producing serotonin—the feel-good happiness hormone. Jeff Hodgson from Fray Bentos, a company that makes pies, says this corroborates what they always knew—that pies make you happy.
Yep, that’s Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites’ solution too: Eat more pie. Ours are empanada-like hand pies made from dried fruit; peach and apple for now. They are compact, can be easily shared, and flavor-packed enough to take the edge off a raging sweet tooth without wrecking one’s diet. Call us on 618.310.0369. or email us at [email protected]. We’re happy to tell you more! Tiny Pies.
