I had the most fantastical (is that a word?) time today at the Swansea Farmer's Market. I'm just getting my "sea" legs so I haven't graduated to videos yet: maybe next time. Any way, thanks to Jack Johnson, a dear family friend, when I returned from an errand, my tent and table had been set up and he even sold some Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites on my behalf! Thank you, Jack.
Connie and Deb, Market Manager and Treasurer, respectively, of the Swansea Farmer's Market, are second to none. I have found new friends and that excites me. I even saw an old friend that I had not seen in light years. Imagine, this old girl, so used to sitting at a desk and shoving papers, out and about as a vendor at a farmers market. Who knew?!?
Shout out to Renee of Lochshire Farms (can hardly wait to dive into those fresh greens) and especially to my new friends Deb Bauchman and her son, Matt. You may have wondered about the Reader's Digest cover on my page. I accidentally put it there but I didn't know how to get rid of it. Well, thanks to Matt and his expertise, it's gone. P**f! Just like that. Thank you Matt, and Deb, the Berry Blast popcorn is the bomb. These folks make and sell KETTLE CORN! And did you know that popcorn can be frozen? I didn't. Just learned it today. Look for Bauchman Kettle Corn (follow your nose).
Full disclosure: I just HAD to take a nap once I got home from the farmer's market. I was bushed and had gone as far as I could go. Since my nap, I have almost fully recovered and the tiny wheels in my head are looking forward to the farmers market in Belleville this Saturday from 8a to 12p at LongStory Coffee at the old train station on Hwy 159. You'll see Clara B's Kitchen Table's food truck out front. I'm told though that the easiest access to the market is off High Street. I hope to see you there! Look for our sign with the cut smiling pie face. Tiny Pies. Big Smiles. Thanks to the design team at United Ink Bits, Bites, and Bigga Bites has a brand logo.
Well, I think I'll catch a few more ZZZs, then get back to reflecting on this fantabulous day and planning for Saturday at the Belleville Farmers Market.
