🎉🎉 GROUNDBREAKING NEWS!!! (Literally!) 🎉🎉 We are expanding our kitchen and retail space to bring you better farm food, better service, and a better experience! Honestly, this expansion is going to bring so many improvements that we can't even list them all because we are practically vibrating with excitement! What we need our customers to know NOW is that beginning on Monday next week, the customer entrance will be located on the wall closest to M204. Our customers will need to pull into the parking lot, veer hard left, then park with their front bumpers facing M204. We expect this to be a temporary situation for about two months while the new addition is being completed. We are so sorry for this inconvenience but hope you’ll forgive us when you see the new digs!

Come warm up with a bowl of soup🍲, local 9 Bean Rows bread🥖, and a glass of Good Harbor wine🍷! Starting Sunday, February 5, we will be holding our weekly Sips & Soup Sundays event in our tasting room from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A different soup made by Oaky’s Tavern will be offered every Sunday with a piece of sourdough bread. We will have a suggested wine pairing depending on the soup but you are welcome to enjoy any of our delicious, award-winning wines.
Sips & Soup Sundays will run through the month of March. The only Sunday the event will not be held is Sunday, February 12th.
We can’t wait to see you for food, fun, and wine!

So many great things are happening in NW Michigan, not the least of which being a recent USDA grant of $250,000 awarded to the MI Farm Co-op. Representing "more than a dozen area farms, supplying numerous restaurants, schools, stores and individuals with farm-fresh food, primarily in Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties", the Michigan Farm Co-op will now be able to expand to a larger, more convenient location and allow for additional personnel.
Wonderful news for everyone, but a bonus for Venture North friends, 9 Bean Rows, as these Co-op members will soon have more room for expansion, as well!

The Leelanau Chamber had the pleasure of sponsoring lunch at 9 Bean Rows this past week for the Michigan Farm Fun (Michigan Agritourism) bus tour through Leelanau.
Participants from farms throughout the state enjoyed learning about Leelanau and seeing some of the great farm-to-table resources including Cherry Republic, Jacob's Farm TC.

Looking to dispose of your pumpkins without filling the trash bin? When your pumpkin is much less fresh than this one in the field at 9 Bean Rows, make sure to compost or repurpose it with local farmers!

We will have fresh cider mimosas paired with pumpkin donuts from 9 Bean Rows available as well as our usual wine offerings. The Good To Go Michigan food truck will be serving delicious tacos in our front lawn from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
It wouldn’t be a party without some music! Blair Miller will be performing live on our front lawn from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and then Luke Woltanski will be performing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. We can’t wait to see you!

So many of our guests come for a hot meal after a long day of working and or simply surviving. It is important to us that they are served homemade meals made with love, and served with the dignity they deserve. Thank you to all the volunteers that come with open hearts and minds. 🙏
Homemade “ hamburger helper” for 75 people was a lip smacking kind of meal. But we didn’t stop there…we were blessed to also serve homemade potato salad, rolls, and peach crisp! For our vegetarians we were blessed to serve Paul & MerriLynn’s delicious, creamy mac and cheese. And another bonus of 9 Bean Rows delicious pastries. It was really a really good meal.
We also sent 46 meals of Butternut Squash soup, cornbread and rolls to Leelanau Christian Neighbors and 20 meals of Split Pea soup and rolls to the Empire Food Bank.
Thank you to all who helped make it happen 🙏
