Most days, you can find Pete out at the Richfield Historic and Nature Park quietly caretaking the grounds, tending to the spaces we all enjoy, and making sure the park remains a place of beauty and welcome for all who visit.

As the Past President of the Richfield Historical Society, Pete has been the driving force behind many of the Society’s beloved events and an an integral part of the collaborations with the Farmers Market. Pete’s calm inclusive leadership, his hands‑on work, and his deep love for our community have shaped the park, the Historical Society, and the Richfield WI Farmers Market in lasting ways and one of his legacies will be the deep impacts he had upon the park and all who know him. Pete truly is an undeniable community pillar in Richfield, always lending a hand and bringing people together.

While things may seem a little quiet over here, we promise there's plenty happening behind the scenes as we prepare for An Afternoon in the Woods on November 1st!

From carefully curating our lineup of small businesses to coordinating musicians, food vendors, special guests, and all the little details in between, we've been busy bringing this next gathering to life.

And the fun part? We still have quite a few things up our sleeves that we haven't shared with you yet! 👀

Our vendor lineup is coming together, we have talented musicians to introduce, and we're working on a little something extra to make shopping small even more fun. 🎁

It’s hard to believe tomorrow is the last farmers market of 2026 for us. We are excited for the Richfield Historical Society’s Blacksmiths Day alongside the Richfield WI Farmers Market to wrap up the market season. 💛

A few years ago at Blacksmiths Day we were lucky enough to purchase this beautiful hand forged scissors made by Vulcan Handworks. It’s truly a beautiful piece of art - where form meets function. Make sure to stop out at this FREE Event, meet the Blacksmiths, including our friend Kayla and see real demonstrations of live Blacksmithing. ⚒️
