Just popping in to say hi! 👋🏼

I’m officially 2 weeks post-op and starting the recovery process. Physical therapy started today, and I’m looking forward to getting my hand back to normal.

Sometimes life has a funny way of nudging us in a new direction. What started as an unexpected setback has sparked a new path and bigger ideas for Mama Llama Cookies. I’m really excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share the news!

In the meantime, I wanted to shoutout the absolutely incredible lunch I had today from Toms Taste of Chicago in Superior. This burger was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. 🍔

If you’re trying to decide what’s for dinner tonight, consider this your sign. Seriously. So good.

Welllllll… this definitely was not on my 2026 bingo card. 🙃

Last weekend I severely injured my hand and will need tendon surgery Friday. Unfortunately, cookie decorating, icing, packaging, classes, printing, and basically every part of this business requires two functioning hands… rude honestly. 😭

Because of recovery and healing time, Mama Llama Cookies will temporarily be paused until around the first week of July.

Thank you for all the support you guys have shown me lately, from classes to custom orders to Teacher Appreciation Week. This little cookie business has grown because of all of you sharing posts, attending classes, ordering cookies, and cheering me on, and I don’t take that lightly. ❤️

I’ll still probably pop on here occasionally because let’s be real… I’m going to be bored out of my mind. 😅

Before anything else, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who attended my Cinco de Mayo cookie class fundraiser at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. 💙💛

Because of that class, we were able to fund many of the extra things I’ve shared with you this week for Teacher Appreciation Week at Cooper. 🍎✨

Today, for our grand finale, staff members picked numbered apples from the tree that matched gift cards donated by local businesses, then scratched off gold tickets for extra prizes, candy, and surprises. And honestly... seeing everyone get so excited over mystery scratch-offs was the best. 😂

As a small business owner, it’s really special getting to use something as simple as cookies to give back to our school community in a bigger way. So truly, thank you for showing up, decorating cookies, supporting my business, and helping make this week happen for our teachers and staff. 🐻 It is beyond words how grateful they were.💙
