I work more than I am proud to admit. But that’s the consequence of passion. Some days I feel convinced that I’m nothing special, just a another victim
Fooled to casually step into dystopian societal traps; it feels as if I’ve doomed myself a prisoner to the system- caught in the vicious cycles of high stress and low rest- a self-stringed puppet, just like what I constantly preach against- and those are heavy days.
But then I remind myself to pause and reset- and I come back to myself; because what a blessing it is to have been gifted such a rare talent- one that has not only healed me in ways that words cannot justify but that has also radiated so much light, so much love, so much happiness to so many human beings who just needed an extra touch of beauty, sweetness and sass for that special day among so many days that are already hard enough to begin with.
And so, in a world where darkness precedes the light and war precedes peace, my passion for this art breathes life into me and feeds my soul with purpose and with hope. I just want to be the bright, fun, loud, super-extra, dramatic, magical, happy little girl I should have always been, and that’s what you get from my final products- the little girl who still lives inside of me- I am 40 years old and every single day of my life, I still strive to make her proud of the woman we became.
Yes. I am exhausted some days beyond physical logic but also yes, I will keep pushing until God says otherwise. I find comfort knowing that some
Day, when I am gone- all of my love would have not been wasted; my spark and my glittery whimsy will continue to live through my work.
I am an artist and that makes me immortal. 😌💅🏼
