What a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible volunteers who make our mission possible! 🌴💙

Our beach-themed volunteer appreciation dinner was filled with great food, fellowship, laughter, and meaningful conversations about the future.

We reflected on what we learned during our trip to Arkansas and talked about ways to continue building a strong, healthy culture within our food bank—one where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected. We even role-played real-life situations to practice responding to difficult moments with grace, kindness, and compassion, helping create the culture we want others to experience.

We also looked through photos from Arkansas as we dreamed about the future of Esther Manor, a vision to one day provide housing and support for young women ages 18–25 who are aging out of foster care, experiencing homelessness, or coming from home environments that are not conducive to success. As we looked at those photos together, we were reminded of a simple but powerful truth: “They can’t be what they can’t see.” Before we can build something meaningful, we have to be able to envision it. Those photos gave us inspiration and a picture of what could one day become a reality in our own community.

Most importantly, we took time to love on and celebrate our volunteers. Thank you for your servant hearts, your dedication, and the countless hours you give to make a difference. We are excited about what God has in store for the future, and we’re grateful you’re on this journey with us. ❤️

As a thank you for attending the Resource Fair, you'll qualify to receive a FREE 24-pack of drinks! Choose from:

💙 A Special Thank You to Our Team 💙

This week, while I have been away getting refreshed, learning, and reenergized about the future vision of CRC Chattooga, two incredible team members have been keeping things running smoothly at home.

A huge thank you to Kaitlyn Fuller, Resource Navigator, and Misty Cochran, Food Pantry Manager, for stepping up, working together, and ensuring our guests continued to receive the support they need.

This week, they demonstrated our core values in action:

🤝 Connection – Kaitlyn took time to give a donor a tour of CRC, helping share our mission and connect others to the work happening right here in Chattooga County.

💙 Respect – Throughout the week, Kaitlyn and Misty consistently supported one another, asking, “How can I help?” and working as a team to accomplish what needed to be done.

🛠️ Hard Work – Whether unloading deliveries, moving pallets, or handling hundreds of pounds of incoming food, they jumped in wherever needed and got the job done.

📋 Stewardship – They carefully managed the food, donations, and resources entrusted to CRC, ensuring they were organized, protected, and ready to serve the families who depend on them.

⭐ Integrity – They answered tough questions, solved problems as they arose, and remained focused on what was best for our guests and the mission of CRC, even when no one was looking over their shoulder.

Our mission is to acquire and connect resources to meet immediate needs, empowering individuals and families to engage opportunities and community supports to build stability. This week was a great reminder that our mission is carried out every day by people who care deeply about serving others.

Thank you, Kaitlyn and Misty, for your dedication to our guests, our volunteers, and our community. Your hard work and servant hearts make a difference, and I am grateful for both of you.
