How adorable are these?! 🥹

Mrs. Orick’s summer school class decorated some of our bakery boxes for a community project, and we’ll be using them at this weekend’s pop-up. We love supporting our community and giving these kiddos a chance to share their creativity. ❤️📚🍪

Our popup will be on our back patio at 111 N Clark street, from 9-11 tomorrow!!! We will have coffees, lemonades, cookies, cake pops, cinnamon rolls AND a book sale!!! We are putting out some books that were donated that are just a little too used for what we’d like in the store- $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardbacks!!

These aren’t your average cookies—they’re 4 oz monster cookies. Which is how big ALL of our cookies are!

For reference, they’re just a little smaller than size of my hand!

One cookie is usually enough for two people… but we won’t judge if you keep it all to yourself. 😏

I didn’t plan to make a post, but the support we’ve received has been so amazing! 🖤

So many people I know—and even more people I don’t know yet but can’t wait to meet! 🥹
Throughout the many years I’ve lived in Sullivan, I’ve heard over and over that “the city is so hard to work with and doesn’t support small businesses” or that “all the small businesses are too competitive and don’t support each other.” I can tell you right now that I’ve had the complete opposite experience.
From city officials to neighboring businesses to complete strangers, everyone has been so excited to see this business come to life. The encouragement and support have been incredible to experience. I love our little town, and I’m so thankful for all of you!

A big shout-out to the people who have recently partnered with us on our bookshelves! I won’t tag them because I know a few want to remain anonymous, but you know who you are, and I’m so grateful. 🖤

A few months ago, Sugar & Spice was just an idea. Now we’re painting walls, building shelves, ordering books, and getting ready to open our doors.

There have been so many people cheering us on along the way, and I wanted to create a way for those supporters to become a permanent part of this space.

For $100, you can become a Legacy Shelf Partner and have your name displayed on one of our bookshelves forever.

Every time someone reaches for a book, attends a book club, or shares a coffee with a friend, they’ll be doing it in a place you helped build. I can’t wait to look around this café and see the names of the people who believed in this dream before it even opened.
