I took on a very special “small” order for a lovely customer who has a pie loving husband (my favorite kind!!) who is turning the big 40!!! When she called and told me her husband only likes pie, I knew I had to take on the job, because birthday pie is my favorite! I put small in quotation marks, because although it’s only 3 pies, each pie is a true labor of love. Everything is hand made (every single pie crust is hand made, hand rolled, and hand crimped!), from scratch, using the best fresh, organic, and local ingredients I can find. I hope he and his guests enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

There is NO limit to the GOOD things this man does for our community! I have to give a HUGE heartfelt shout out to our one and only City Councilman for always always showing up and showing out for the people of Sugar Land and beyond. I needed help with something last weekend and he was the first person I thought of. Without hesitation he dropped what he was doing, hitched his trailer “Grace” and came to my rescue….AND he showed up in the T-shirt I made him a couple years ago. Thank you for always supporting the small businesses in Fort Bend County and always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the task. I am so proud to call you my friend and we are so incredibly lucky to have you represent Sugar Land. THANK YOU!

Happy November y’all! These months are usually the busiest for me. Usually my kitchen is full of flour and sugar, the smell of pie crusts baking, and my oldest son Thomas asking to lick the spoons. I have received SO MANY messages, texts, DM’s, and emails asking if am taking orders for Thanksgiving this year, and each message tugs at my heart strings SO SO HARD. Our newest son, Andrew is just under 4.5 months old. He is not sleeping long stretches at night, which means this mama isn’t sleeping either. I am still nursing him every 2-3 hours which makes even the simplest tasks impossible, let alone make and prep pie crusts and bake all day and night. I hate to say it but Thanksgiving I am unable to take your orders for pies. My little guy, whom we worked so hard to get here, is just too little and needs his mama’s full attention right now. We will be spending this Thanksgiving with family and really soaking up these moments. Thank y’all for the love and messages. I truly am blessed with the best and most loyal customers in the world. I am praying I will be able to take a very limited number of orders for Christmas. I apologize for the late post and update, it’s so hard to get to anything these days. Thank you for understanding and thank you for being so wonderful and loyal. My heart is so happy when I get to bake for my community and I hope to be back in action sooner than later. Can’t wait to get back into the thick of things! I have gotten a ton of messages and phone calls regarding the upcoming holidays and asking when I will be taking Thanksgiving orders. I promise to give ample heads up time for ordering this year, as I will for sure have my hands full! So stay tuned and I promise to post about holiday orders and when I’ll be back in the pie lab. He’s here! Sorry for the delayed post but I’ve been slightly busy haha. Introducing Andrew Jacob Gibson, born 6/29/2022 at 7:45 pm. He’s healthy and wonderful and our hearts have never been more full or more at peace. Thank you for all of the palpable love and prayers. I look forward to finding a routine and getting back to the kitchen as soon as it is feasible for us.

Hey y’all!!!! Just checking in and giving a quick update! We are officially 2-3 weeks away from bringing our sweet boy home! I am officially NOT baking anymore until he’s home, we are settled, and I feel somewhat human again. I miss baking for y’all SO MUCH, and I can’t wait to be back in the pie lab. I’ve been perusing recipes and coming up with new ideas for y’all to whip up on my return to the kitchen. Thank you all for checking in, texts, DM’s, and messages. I can’t wait to introduce him to everyone soon enough! Xoxox-Nilou ??!! Lol lol lol 💙🌈😘❤️
