Here’s a fun project I got to do recently for a special birthday girl: ice cream cake! The bottom layer was funfetti cake, the middle is monster cookie ice cream, and the top layer is homemade whipped cream with a healthy dose of sprinkles! It turned out so yummy, I can’t wait to give ice cream cake another go so I can improve.

Life update! Those of you who don’t follow me personally probably don’t know that I recently graduated with my bachelor’s degree and just started my master’s program. So needless to say, my life is crazy busy right now. But Fall is imminent, and I’m looking forward to a new season of treats and flavors. That being said, what kind of fall and winter desserts/flavors would you like to see from me? I’m hoping to release some fall season offerings soon but would love your input first!

Hello all! Sorry for my absence from the ‘gram lately. The last couple months have been extra busy! In my absence I’ve obtained a college degree and travelled abroad for the first time (which I’ve posted a lot about on my personal insta). But I’m excited to get back to work! Starting with this attempt at succulent cupcakes- they’re not perfect but I was pretty proud of them for a first try. I have other plans in store as well- new cupcake flavors, and hopefully a spot at the farmers market! Thanks to everyone who’s stuck with me while I’ve been gone and I look forward to baking- and posting!- even more.

Toasting Sugar is a new-to-me technique that I’m using for a recipe I’m working on. Just a few hours in the oven at a low temperature can transform simple white sugar to an ivory, caramel-y dream that can replace sugar cup-for-cup. I’m excited to see how this adds complexity to my recipes! Any other bakers use this technique in their kitchen?
