a new bread oven babyyyyy 🥖

Lodge Cast Iron released their first-ever Lodge product specifically tailored to bread bakers and i hadddd to try it out!!! what a dream it is. this bread oven was created to last a lifetime. and my bread turned out beautifully!!! usa made, non-toxic, and perfectly seasoned. a dream!

OLIVE OIL BREAD DIP:

1/2 cup olive oil
2 tsp italian seasoning
2 cloves of garlic (grated)
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup grated parm
drizzle of balsamic glaze

apple pie cinny rolls 🍎🥧

i transformed my favorite sourdough cinnamon roll recipe into an autumn dream! here’s how i did it:

1. prep your favorite cinnamon roll recipe as usual. when rolling the dough, add chopped apples (i recommend small pieces) along with the cinnamon sugar filling (1 large apple or 2 small). comment DOUGH to purchase my bakery’s sourdough cinnamon roll recipe!
2. add an oat crumble topping and pie crust lattice on top of the rolls immediately before baking. add an egg wash to the pie crust before baking.

OAT CRUMBLE TOPPING:
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 70g sugar
- 50g flour
- 40g rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon

*mix all ingredients together with a fork.

DISCARD PIE CRUST:
- 160g flour
- 3g salt
- 15g sugar
- 95g starter
- 1 stick butter
- 2-4 tbsp ice cold water

*blitz all ingredients in a food processor (minus the water). slowly add the water 1 tbsp as a time until the dough comes together. do NOT over mix! there should be obvious flake of butter in the dough - you do not want to fully combine the butter.

*this dough can also be mixed by hand! you can grate the frozen butter and cut it in by hand.
