This week marks the 9th annual Adirondack Veterans Outdoor Adventure, a special event dedicated to honoring veterans, first responders, and their families through outdoor recreation, fellowship, and giving back to the community.
Organized by brothers who are passionate about serving those who have served, the event brings together veterans from multiple generations, firefighters, and their families for a week in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.
Throughout the week, participants enjoy hunting, fishing, sightseeing, and exploring historic landmarks. It’s about much more than outdoor activities. It’s about building friendships, sharing stories, bringing generations together, and showing appreciation for those who have sacrificed and served.
One of the biggest highlights is the Give Back Dinner, where organizers, volunteers, and local businesses prepare and serve approximately 1,000 free meals to area veterans, first responders, and their families.
This year, I was honored to travel from Virginia and participate in the dinner, representing both Unkie’s Seasoning and The Cool Fireman Podcast.
At its heart, this event is about brotherhood, family, patriotism, community, and giving back to those who have given so much.
