Homemade caramel rolls, pies, and soups Kari has a passion for bringing homemade, from scratch, ‘grandma’s style’ soup and baked goods back to life.

It all started overseas in Italy during high school and followed her home to the Black Hills. Kari has had coffee shops in the past, in addition to a café in Black Hawk. Originally her storefront for Rustic Rolling Pin was located in Spearfish. Due to the ever-changing climate with Covid, Kari closed the storefront and now does baking and cooking from a commercial kitchen at her home. Delicious homemade caramel rolls, frosted cinnamon rolls, pies, and soups are available for pick-up or delivery.

Hello dear customers- friends!!! This week we had to say goodbye to a very special lady, our 101 yr old Grandma Nadine!! She was an amazingly sweet, caring, loving, woman with a heart of gold and a giggle that could light up a room!! The Rolling Pin would not be what it is today without her, as the caramel roll recipe was hers and always will be❤️
As I was in the kitchen baking away this morning, it was brought to my attention that these delicious caramel rolls are keeping her memory alive, what an honor🥰🥰 We will miss you Grandma!!!! RIP💕💕🕊🕊

Hello friends! It's been awhile since I've posted! We have been busy in the kitchen keeping the stores stocked with caramel rolls! Again, thank you for your purchases!
Also, a great suggestion as camping season is upon us, our caramel rolls are a great treat to take along on your camping adventures!! Our caramel rolls are available at Lueders- Spearfish and Belle Fourche, Grocery Mart- Sturgis, Haggars Grocery- Summerset & Timmons Market- Rapid Valley and Box Elder🙂
We have also stayed busy with catering business luncheons, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, family reunions, and we have some other events coming up as well! If you are curious, have questions and would like to know more, please give me a call or message. I would love to visit with you!

Good morning everyone! First of all thank you for your continued support in purchasing our caramel rolls! We've been baking up a "STORM" so to speak to ensure the grocery stores are stocked up!!!! Our Story

Kari has always had a passion for coffee. It started overseas in Italy during high school and followed her home to the Black Hills. Kari has had coffee shops in the past in addition to a cafe' in Black Hawk. Since opening Rustic Rolling Pin, Kari has been able to bring back something she has dearly missed making coffee. She also bakes homemade rolls, pies, desserts, and HOMEMADE soups. This is a family run operation and we hope you feel right at home with us.
