Closing this chapter 💔

We had planned to take October off — a little pause to rest, reset, and prepare for what’s next. But sometimes life has other plans.

After a lot of thought and prayer, factors beyond our control have led us to the really difficult decision to close the bakery for now.

This has been such an amazing experience. Sure, it was hard work, the nights were long, and we won’t miss all the dishes, but it brought new friendships, connections, and shared joy that truly made it all worth it.

This isn’t how we imagined this chapter ending, but we’re trying to see it as a pause, instead of goodbye.

Thank you for all of the love and support you have shown us from the very beginning. It has been an honor and a great joy to bake for you and I cannot express enough how grateful we are ❤️

I’m posting this a bit late, but in case you missed it in our stories — we’re taking a little breather this month. Slowing down, and resting up.

We’ll be spending the time testing new flavors, catching up on life things, and clearing out a camera roll that is overflowing with baking content I haven’t had the time to post 🫣

Come pick your own berries and grab a treat (or five). It’s the tastiest way to experience the magic of summer in western Maine!

🌱 Hargest Farms has been a cornerstone of western Maine’s blueberry tradition for over 75 years. Now family-owned and operated, the farm is located at the scenic base of Mount Abram and is recognized as the largest wild blueberry farm in western Maine, drawing visitors each summer to pick and enjoy its naturally grown berries.
