Mark your calendars: On Saturday, July 12, we will be hosting local author, Coleen Dixon - The Historical Homemaker, at 10:30 AM. She will be here in the front quiet room of the library to autograph her new book. Her book will also be available that day for purchase, if you don't already have your own copy!

About Coleen:
In January 2016, I decided to create a place to where I could share my enthusiasm with all things American history and this is how The Historical Homemaker was born.

My name is Coleen Dixon, and I love all aspects of American history. I was born in Washington, DC and grew up in nearby Arlington, Virginia, all which is rich in American history.
I am a wife, mom (and now Grammy!) who loves to drink a lot of coffee, and I eat way too many donuts. Also loves all animals. And shopping. I am also borderline obsessed with Abraham Lincoln and all things Gettysburg. Oh, and I also love my bib overalls and sweatpants.

We are saddened to learn about the passing of our friend, Jean Miller. When we first opened our door for business on September 1, 2017, she and her family were one of our very first customers. They also became our friends and part of our family.

We are going to miss you, Jean Miller. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Miller family today. Especially to her beloved daughter and best friend, Pam.

We are huge fans of Elvis in the bakery. To honor his 85th birthday today we have made Banana Cupcakes topped with Peanut Butter icing.
