There’s nothing like a homemade pizza night!
We like to make our own dough with active starter.
I make the pizza shells ahead of time on the pizza stone, one at a time. Then I let them cool and freeze them until we are ready for a pizza night! Pull them out and top them, throw them directly on the pizza rack and cook till the toppings look done (500 F for about 7-9 minutes)!

Normally I make sourdough sandwich bread, no commercial yeast.
But sometimes my starter isn’t ready and I am. I had a busy week last week so my starter spent about a week in the fridge. She only had one feed since I took her out and wasn’t ready to bake with. So I fed her, used her discard, and added in some yeast.
Discard sourdough sandwich bread!
My favorite thing about this recipe is I can use my kitchen aid mixer!! Normally I do everything by hand!!
This bread comes out amazing every time! Feel free to message for the recipe!

This is the full video! I created a reel originally, but I made it too long so the ending was chopped off.

Broke up the soil in one of the garden beds and mixed in two new bags with some compost and fertilizer!

Tried not to disturb the garlic! 🧄

There are also two broccoli plants I planted last fall, trying to live! And two pepper plants we didn’t pull yet. I was curious to see what they’d do. Most likely nothing, but I’ll give them a couple weeks to decide since I can’t plant much yet anyways. Next year I’d like to pull the pepper plants out and get them to go dormant over winter. This is supposed to yield a large crop, earlier! Or I could always let them stay active during winter in the house. But we already have two lime trees and two lemon trees playing that game. We shall see!

May not look like much yet, but the first seeds of the season are in the ground!!
Cascadia Peas!
They will snake up the cattle fencing that I’m using as a trellis!
