Gabriela's Sweets & Eats Gourmet handmade sweet treats are my specialty. I whip up Marshmallows in all kinds of flavors n bak After that, I had to find out how to make marshmallows.

I taught myself how to make truffles while working at a chocolate shop when the question became, how can I get more personalized treats. And I did. My sole goal is to provide scrumptious handmade treats made with the finest ingredients available. Everyone deserves something decadent. And I provide a wild variety of treats, from pound cakes, truffles, marshmallows, butter cookies and even 9 in cakes!

The dipped caramel stuffed vanilla marshmallow was a hit! And besides, it was time to creak open the door of early retirement... Because when friends celebrate a loving marriage of 35 years you bust your talents out....ahhhh I won't lie, I do miss my lil sweets shop.... Marshmallows always made me so happy, so light, fluffy, tasty. Thank you God for giving me this talent. I love seeing people light up with joy when they bite into my homemade treats!

I got 3rd place in my age group...I'll take it! Wanted to do better, but my belly was fighting some serious odds, but I pushed through anyhow. I didn't go through aaaaaaaallllll that training just to quit midway. Next goal, train for humid runs. I trained all winter, so this heat is throwing me off a little 🥵😅...but July is coming up fast & I have races slated for the month. Ahhh happy day! All I know is you better be happy cuz when it's it's all over all you'll have is memories, so make em good 🥰

GOAL smashed & conquered!
First Half Marathon is in the bank. I've done the work, I did the task, now it's time for reflection, growth, processing and goal setting.
I gave up so much to do this.
I wonder if being brave, even when fear is staring me in the face, would change me. but I had to prove I still had a little fire left in me....(🥰 To Don Diablo)
Not exactly sure where I'll go from here, but the road has been travelled and I feel the next step is just waiting for me to discover it...wish me luck as I continue my journey down the rabbit hole!

And that's a wrap!
Yep, last cake for me. I love baking, it is one of my passions-and it will always be. But decorating is not my joy. I will be stepping away from the icing bag. Why? Arthritis in my hands, increased costs in prep & production and the most important part, my Heart is no longer in it. Life is taking me in different directions and I think I'm going to follow the yellow brick road that I'm currently on. I've spent the last several months training and working towards a new goal, run a Half Marathon. I'm two weeks away from fulfilling that desire. Running has given me so much time to reflect & ponder, and I'm realizing I can't go back to go forward. Will I make sweets or bake again? Surely. I spent many hours in the kitchen just to make people happy. But at 46, I want to be happy too. So I will give this a try. It is with a Grateful Heart that I thank you for all your past support and encouragement!
