What started as a hobby and a deep love for sharing delicious meals and desserts has grown into something even more exciting: my very own baking business! Back in 2020, I was asked to make sugar cookies for my friend’s parents

' 60th birthday. Little did I know that one order would reawaken my passion for baking and decorating. Since then, I’ve taken on occasional orders here and there, and my love for cookie decorating has only continued to grow. Now, I’m thrilled to turn that passion into a full-fledged business! I specialize in hand-decorated sugar cookies, but my desire to bake doesn’t stop there. From soft and chewy classic cookies to beautifully frosted cupcakes, cakes, and a variety of other sweet treats, I aim to create custom desserts of all types and for any celebration. When I’m not baking or cooking up delicious meals, you can find me enjoying nature, trying to keep my garden alive, or sipping on a hot cup of java. A little market update! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️

Unfortunately, I have made the decision to not attend The Windmill Market in Pilger on August 29th. I’m getting married over Labor Day weekend, and with the big day quickly approaching, I still have A LOT of wedding prep to tackle! 💍🤍

As much as I’ll miss being there, I definitely encourage you to still stop by and support all of the incredible vendors who will be there! There’s always so many talented small businesses, makers, and creators to discover at The Windmill Market, and they deserve all the love and support. 🛍️✨

I’ll be taking a little wedding-prep break, but don’t worry, Alex Makes Sweets will be back at The Windmill Market on September 26th! 🍪💚

This 12 piece Lilo & Stitch birthday set was so much fun to bring to life! From Stitch and Lilo to tropical flowers, a little surfboard, and some seriously adorable island vibes, this set was packed with color and personality. 🌺🌊

I had so much fun chatting with everyone, meeting new faces, and wandering around to check out all of the amazing vendors. I seriously appreciate every single person who stopped by my booth, purchased a treat, said hello, or simply showed some love and support.🥹💕

And I have to say… the S’mores Brownies and Oatmeal Cream Pies were definitely a hit! 👀🍫

Come spend Saturday, August 15th in Battle Creek for the Battle Creek Summer City Fest & Market in the Park! 🎉

I’ll have my cookie booth set up OUTSIDE the park building on the SOUTH side, so come find me for all your sweet treat needs! 🍪💕 I’ll have a variety of my delicious cookies available to take home and enjoy!

But I’m definitely not the only reason to come out! 👀 There will be SO many amazing local vendors to shop from! Plus, there will be food trucks, a lively atmosphere, and plenty of fun for everyone! 🛍️🌮🎶
