Prayer:

I trust you Jesus with my battles. There is nothing in this world that can separate me from your love. As I trust you, I know that you will step in and save me. Fight my battle for me. I need your ability, strength, power, and character to intervene.

I recognize that I do not have what it takes to win this battle, but your grace is sufficient for me. Your power is made perfect in weakness. What I do know is that when I am weak, I am strong in you.

Thank you Jesus, because in spite of my bad decisions you still fight my battles. You won the victory over sin and death. Thank you for your saving grace. I surrender my battle. Give me your peace.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God seeks willing and obedient hearts, not just those with theological knowledge. Let us be open and available for God's service in our daily lives, seeking to worship Him sincerely in all we do.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. May this be the prayer of my heart from today onwards. Father, less of me and more of you. Lord, I repent for putting myself on the throne of my life. I step off that throne today, and invite You to take Your rightful place. Please transform my thinking, show me that You are in control, and help me to know that You know what’s best for my life. Show me what Your will is today.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

PUT ON GOD’S ARMOR

A few friends met to go for a bike ride. As they were getting ready to begin they're adventure, one of them looked down at his feet and realized he was wearing flip-flops! Since the pedals on his bike require clip-in cycling shoes, he knew his day was over before it even began. As his friends rode away without him, he understood the importance of putting on the proper gear and the consequences of forgetting it.

To offer an extreme example, skydiving is another sport that requires correct and well-maintained equipment to be successful. If you choose to forego a parachute, you’ll quickly learn how unforgiving gravity can be. Having the parachute in your possession or believing in its effectiveness isn’t enough—you must put it on and tighten the straps to save your life. The same is true with God’s armor: in order for it to be effective, you have to put it on.

Our victory is secured only when we take the time to:

Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh… (Romans 13:14)

Put on the full armor of God: Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12)

Put on a garment of praise. (Isaiah 61:3)

Put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:24)

When we are prepared and properly clothed with our Heavenly armor, we are empowered to fight the good fight. As we submit to God and humble ourselves before Him, it is His power in us that renders the enemy defeated. David had the confidence to confront Goliath because it was the Lord who fought his battle. With God, we can confront the giants of our world and win.

Let's Pray:

Merciful God, look on us with your favor and hear our prayers. I trust in your love and that you listen when I pray. You alone know the thoughts of my heart. I repent of my sins and seek your forgiveness. May all I do this day give honor and glory to you, in Jesus name Amen.
